The class of 12 seniors are required to take Senior Survival Skills to graduate from Lewiston.

The curriculum for this class centers around learning skills as students transition from high school students to either working full time, college students, or military enlistments.  Students learn skills that will help them live on their own.

I am utilizing alumni from Lewiston to visit with the students about "life after high school".   In the last two weeks we have had Ryan Thomas ,class of 2005, and  coach of  Lewiston Boys Basketball; and Hannah Christen, class of 2014, a senior graduating from Peru State this spring.  I plan on bringing in more alumni as the semester continues.

The class started by learning how to write a complete resume, making a video resume, and will move into work or scholarship skills such as cover letters, thank-you letters, and interviews.

Video Resumes are becoming a way for employers to become acquainted with potential employees.  Students each were to make a video resume for a scholarship.  Here are three examples, two are realistic and one is not.
